Link's Update - 03/07/2009 - The End is Nigh and Noby Noby Boy!

Hey all,

Just checked out Noby Noby Boy, and Watchmen: The End is Nigh.

First, let me get down to business with Watchmen.

I'm sure glad to see that the publisher went to the length to include a demo for this game. Quite honestly the twenty dollar price tag was a little much do just dive into.

Never the less, I did enjoy my time with the demo. It was just enough action to get it's hooks into you, and just enough variety to have you wanting to play it a couple times over while you mull the decision to purchase or not.

I played as Rorschach in this play session. Because, well he's a cool character.

The setting has Night Owl and Rorschach entering a prison to quell some riots and a potential prison break. The environment is ok, but halfway through the level you get some deja-vu with some repeated areas.

Everything looks great for a downloadable though. Definitely something I could see on a disc, although maybe not for sixty bucks judging the content of the demo. The character models are sharp, but the action, although fun at times, feels a little clunky. The moves do look nice though, and very brutal in Rorschach's case.

I know that this is supposed to be a beat 'em up, but I've played some that I've had more fun with. Also I am aware that I had only experienced the demo, so there might be some smooth sailing after the rough edges I've seen and felt. Still there is something about this title that may need a further look, so I'll be adding this one to my queue of game's to buy.

Next on to Noby Noby Boy...

I don't even know what to say about this title. Is it a game, a tech demo, a fever dream...I don't know!

What I do know is it's some of the easiest trophies that five bucks can buy!

To be honest, I have know idea how to describe this game. You're a hot dog shaped being that can stretch and eat things. You can eat things like rocks, veggies, dogs, people, bikes, umm, everything! Then you can discharge them out of the back end of your...umm...thingy.

There's really not much more to it, although it is fun to mess around in all the little levels, bouncing about.

I'll have to play a little more to give a better report.

Well, that's all for now.

Night!
